In Toronto, Peacebuilders has diverted over 1000 young people out of the criminal justice system before trial, and worked with thousands more in schools and communities to address conflict productively and stop the school to prison pipeline.
We only have a few spaces still open! For any questions not answered in the FAQ below and/or to register, please contact email@example.com and Info@zoepaliare.com. We so look forward to sharing this beautiful experience with you!
What are the accommodation details?
If you come solo with the shared accommodation rate, you'll have your own bed in a shared room with roomies of the same gender. We have a couple of double rooms (2 beds) and one bunk room (4 beds). If you come with a friend, partner or family member, you can share a queen bed in a private room, and each would pay the shared accommodation fee. Private accommodation rates are for a private bedroom for one person. Bathrooms are all shared between 2 - 4 people, depending on retreat attendance. Most rooms are in the main cottage, and two rooms and shared bathroom are in an on-site bunkie near the main cottage.
What’s the retreat capacity?
We have a maximum capacity of 10 participants, so we’ll have an intimate group. We only have a few spaces left!
Is the retreat suitable for yoga and/or meditation beginners?
Yes! All levels of practice are welcome, even if you’ve never practiced before. The yoga practice will be a mindful Hatha flow practice, with variations given for beginners or those more advanced in their practice. All group meditation will be guided and is suitable for beginners. You’ll be responsible for bringing your own mat.
Where will activities take place?
We will practice yoga and meditation in the mornings and/or early evenings on the dock or deck if its warm, or inside if it’s rainy or chilly. Group coaching, meals and other activities will be held indoors or outdoors depending on weather and group preference.
Can special dietary requests be accommodated?
Yes! All meals and snacks will be plant-based, and we can accommodate for allergies or intolerances. You’ll be provided with an intake form when you register where you can list any allergies or intolerances for us to plan around.
Is alcohol or cannabis included?
We’ll be practicing presence this retreat, and will not provide and ask you not to bring alcohol, cannabis (unless medically required), or any other altering substances.
Is transportation included?
Transportation is not included or provided in the retreat fee. We will help arrange for carpool buddies, connecting those with a car with passengers to share gas costs, and those without access to a car but able to drive to a group to share a car rental and gas.
Is a payment plan available?
Yes! Please contact us for details.
